Overwhelming Love

This is one of my favorite scriptures. It's amazing how God will show himself to each of us in ways that speak individually. I am overwhelmed by the amount of encouragement and support I have received from women all around who have read this little blog. Even last night at church, as I would pass by, someone would reach for my hand or grab my attention to share their encouragement with me. And each time, I was almost awkward with the receiving of their words because I was in awe of the way God was using them to encourage my heart.

Let me just say, I am not the perfect Godly wife. I am nowhere near issuing a "follow this plan to make your husband come to Christ!" I am not promising that your marriage will be free of problems if you take my suggestions. I am merely sharing with you my walk with God as I hold my husband's hand along the way. Every man and woman is different (thank God!) and will respond individually to you, to me, to God and to His word. I was asked if my husband is aware of my blog and my answer was, "of course!" He's read every post and he is my best critic. I want to make sure I am relaying information (past stories or sharing of our lives) correctly and to make sure that he feels comfortable with what I share.

I, like you, am learning. And I, most likely like you, need the encouragement and the thumbs up saying "you can do this. Keep going." That's why the description of this blog is what it is: I am learning to be a Godly wife. Every day I fall short. Every day I need God's grace.

Thank you for learning with me. So many great ideas have been shared with me and I am excited and motivated to try them all!

To my spiritually single sisters, please let this little blog be a place of encouragement to you. Know that you can come here to feel encouraged, to know you're not alone, to know that someone is praying for you and your husband. To all of my sisters married to believers, thank you...your encouragement has lifted me higher than you'll ever know.

"A [woman's] heart plans [her] way, but The Lord directs [her] steps." Proverbs 16:9

Welcome to the day, ladies...let's do this!
